Food, nutrition, and income security through the production of traditional and non-traditional tree and food crops through product diversification using a ‘basket of products’ approach
The need for action towards environmental conservation, landscape restoration and maintenance of ecological functions, the promotion of social equity in natural resources governance and the enabling policy environment to achieve same
Grassroots social mobilization and the introduction of village-based savings and loans schemes for internal resource mobilization.
We encourage agroecology agroforestry & natural farming practices to conserve biodiversity, improve soil health through improved nutrient cycles, integrating trees, crops and livestock on farms for income and decent green jobs
Our Working Process
Our Steps to overcome poverty and environmental degradation in the Upper East region of Northern Ghana where the impacts of climate change have reduced rainfall periods to just 3-4 months with 9 long months of dry season negatively impacting production systems.
